On Sunday April 10, 2022, 19 members of Branch 24 attended a performance of the Tamburitzans at Breen Auditorium on the campus of St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland, OH. The Tamburitzans are a multicultural song and dance company headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. The troupe is comprised of fulltime college students, all of whom must audition in three categories: song, dance, and their choice of musical instrument. Lexi Glova, in her inaugural Cleveland performance with the Tamburitzans, danced, sang, and played the violin. Lexi, a fulltime sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh, has been a longtime member of the Lúčina Slovak Folklore Dance Ensemble of Greater Cleveland. In addition to Branch 24, more than 50 people throughout the Cleveland Slovak-American community were at the show to cheer her on. Congratulations, Lexi!
