Holly Workman of Mountville, PA, will be the guest soloist with the Hershey Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, April 28, 2023 at 8:00 P.M. for the Italian Accents Concert.
Holly began studying the violin at age four. She is a graduate of the PA Virtual Charter School and holds a Master of Music in Violin Performance and Literature and a Bachelor of Music in Applied Music (Violin Performance) with High Distinction from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY where she studied with Professor Renée Jolles. Holly is also a member of the Pi Kappa Lambda music honor society.
She was a violin fellow in the International Ensemble Modern Academy 2019/2020 and completed a Master of Music in Contemporary Performance at the Frankfurt Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst (Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts). She is currently pur-suing a Doctoral of Musical Arts Degree in Violin Performance with Dr. Ari Streisfeld at the University of South Carolina School of Music where she is a fellow in the New Sounds Quartet, the studio TA, and concertmaster of the University of South Carolina Symphony Orchestra.
Holly is the daughter of Greg and Dolly Workman, Mountville, PA and a member of the Branch 410, SS. Peter and Paul Society, Uniontown, PA, in the Frank T. Holly, Jr. District 10.
