Attention Branch 853 members – make your summer plans now! Come join us as we have interesting events planned:

June 15 – Simply Slavic Festival, Youngstown, OH. Contact the branch for details of where we will meet. Entrance fee paid by branch.

June 22 – Knoebels Park – FCSU National Picnic.

While the branch members are in the Hershey area, on June 21, the branch will also go to the AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) Museum to see the 1975 Ford Elite which branch member Monica Boone donated to the museum and which is currently on display. Entrance fees will be paid by branch. Reservations required for meet up area.

June 26 – Private tour of the Eastern European Nationality Rooms at the Cathedral of Learning. Branch will pay tour fee. Limited spots remaining. Before leaving Oakland, if time permits, we will tour other historic areas.

July 9 – Branch 853 painting session in Charleroi, PA. Reservations required. Fee paid by the branch.

July 15 ending deadline of our annual photo event. “Happy Ways of our Summers Days”.

What are you doing this summer? Everyone who participates will be acknowledged.

July 18 – American Slovak Day at Kennywood. Branch will purchase ticket for entry. Contact the branch president for where to meet.

For the events with an entrance fee, a reservation is required so the entrance fee can be paid by Branch 853 for its members. Events are subject to change. For more information and reservations email FCSUBranch853@gmail.com.

Branch 853 members who are paying for an education program are eligible for the yearly Branch Educational Stipend. If you are interested in receiving an application, please email FCSUBRANCH853@gmail.com. All information needs to be provided by the applicant and be submitted by mail – no email applications will be accepted; incomplete forms will not be returned and will not be processed. Stipend will not be greater than the cost of the course. Branch 853 encourages all types of educational enrichment.
