Branch 856 held their meeting to discuss how we could get more people to attend meetings and church services. Mr. Luca addressed about going to a baseball game in Washington DC. He will check again about getting tickets.

Arrangements are in the process for the 60th anniversary of our Slovak Chapel at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Save the date September 13, 2025.

At a meeting held October 27, 2024, an election of officers took place. The same officers were re-elected except for the secretary; Marion Mistrk had to resign due to health problems. At this meeting Mr. Luca agreed to take notes. The next meeting will be held in the spring of 2025.

We thank the people who attended the celebration on September 14th for the 59th year of the chapel. After mass we were invited to the Slovak Embassy for lunch. All enjoyed the lunch and seeing the embassy first time.
