District 3 will be sponsoring a Štedrý Večer, a traditional Slovak Christmas Eve Dinner, on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Christ Our Shepherd Center in Greensburg, PA.

Schedule – 2:00 pm – Mass; 3:30 pm – Advent & Christmas Pageant provided by the Pittsburgh Slovakians; 4:30 pm – Dinner; Cost: $35.00 (12 and up) / $10.00 (6 to 11) / Children 5 and under free.

Fraternalism in Action: As we have in the past, we will be having a Fraternalism in Action project to support those in need. It’s no fun to say that winter is right around the corner but it is! Let’s take a minute to think about our brothers and sisters who are in need of some warm winter socks – men, women and children. Please be generous in supporting your fellow man with donations of socks for the West Side Catholic Center.

The Monsignor Andrew Hlinka District will hold the annual meeting on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 1:00pm at the Kings Restaurant in Canonsburg, PA. The election of officers for 2025 will take place at this meeting. Also on the agenda will be the activities for next year along with our annual Memorial Service for Deceased Members.

At the meeting, the Hlinka District will take part in the newly revised Fraternalism in Action program of the FCSU. We will be collecting shelf stable food for the St. Andrew the Apostle Church Food Bank in Charleroi and Donora, PA. Please be as generous as your financial situation allows. With our donations to the Food Bank, the Home Office will add a cash donation of $250.
