THE FCSU “TRAVELING” CHALLENGE CUP

The Challenge
Overall winners of any FCSU Contest under the direction of the Fraternal Activities Director will now have the opportunity to have their names placed on the FCSU “Traveling” Challenge Cup.
How the Contest Works
One overall contest win equals one winner’s name on the Cup.
If the contest has only one first-place winner, that name will be placed on the Cup.
An example of this contest would be March Madness.
If the contest has multiple first-place winners because there are multiple categories in which you can place, an overall winner will be chosen by the judges of the most recent contest and that winner will have his or her name placed on the Cup.
An example of this contest would be the Kentucky Derby Hat Contest.
Time with the Cup
Winners who have their names placed on the “Traveling” Challenge Cup will also win three weeks with the Cup.
The Cup will travel around the country from winner to winner. Winners are encouraged to take pictures with their families and FCSU fellow members, and send them to Jednota Editor Terri Ivanec for publication and posting on the FCSU web. Digital photos in jpeg format can be send via email to fcsulifeeditor@gmail.com or printed photos may be send by regular mail to: Terri Ivanec, Jednota Editor, First Catholic Slovak Union, 6611 Rockside Road, Suite 300, Independence, OH 44131.
Hopefully pictures and stories will develop over time.
(Something like the Stanley Cup).
Regional Recognition
At the end of each calendar year, the Region with the highest point total for all the FCSU contests under the direction of the Fraternal Activities Director in that year will have their Region’s Number placed on the Cup.
Points will be awarded to each Region based on how their members finish in each of the events. Please see below for a point schedule.
Contest Point Schedule:
1ST Place: 100 points
2nd Place: 50 points
3rd Place: 30 points
And if applicable:
4th Place: 20 points
5th Place: 10 points
Participation: 5 points
All members who participate will automatically earn 5 points for their Region no matter where they finish in the contest.
Maximum points a member could win for his or her Region is 105 points per event.
Also at the end of the year, the Region that wins the Cup will win their 3 weeks with the Cup.
The Fraternal Activities Director has the ability at any time to amend the above rules.
